Here’s your job for today: Set up your $4000 GENIE AWP-40S Work Platform contraption and make it ready to ascend 40 feet up to the heavens. Then hang out there for a long time in the heart of Northern California earthquake country.
No thank you, find someone else to ride this pony. Some jobs just aren’t worth doing.

I was going to say that this would make a good “Guess Where SF” entry but then I read the tags and that spoiled it.

You others, guess away
I have no idea where this is and it’s killing me.
Inside the California State Building on McAllister? The building where both the California Court of Appeal and California Supreme Court hear cases?
Yes, 350 McCallister / 455 Golden Gate in the Civic Center.
Yay!
I work in the theater. We go full stick in Genies all the time. It’s common (but illegal, dangerous, and I refuse to do it) for people to unscrew the legs and push people around while the genie is at height.
You want scary? Try a 25′ A-frame extension ladder. (One of these: http://tinyurl.com/3p2gl5) Or climbing in the ceiling beams at the Cow Palace.
Scary, scary stuff
At the very least, I would expect to be able to clip onto a point on the roof.
