This was the scene last night when San Francisco Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi hosted a Transportation Town Hall with MTA Director Nat Ford at the County Fair Building near 9th Avenue. About 50 nearby residents had their say about the nuts and bolts of traffic issues.
One surprising bogeyman for the locals is the popular California Academy of Sciences - some in the audience probably wish it never reopened.
Others are threatening legal action over any changes to the 6 Parnasus line, but the whole point of the Transit Effectiveness Project (TEP) is to change things for the better overall. At this point, there’s every reason to think that TEP, like the federal government’s Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program, will be beneficial.

On it goes. Last night’s meeting appeared to be Your Government at Work, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
