The Castro vs. SFWeekly Writer Matt Smith Regarding Kink.com

Famous San Francisco writer Matt Smith is the cause of a boycott call in the Castro District due to his Whipped and Gagged piece, the one that dealt with Kink.com, aka Cybernet Entertainment, LLC. Matt’s article seemed perfectly cromulent, but some disagree.

Irregardless, here’s one of the flyers from Castro Street betwixt 17th and 18th.

  1. defender of the english language says:

    irregardless is not a word

  2. sfcitizen says:

Oh, it’s a word all right, but it’s one you don’t happen to like.

It’s like saying the Tesla Roadster isn’t a car. Some people have issues with the company that made it, but it’s still a car.

You should move to Quebec or France – they pay people to defend languages – you could make big bucks over there!

  3. I’m pretty sure “cromulent” is a word, though a $10 one.

Unfortunately, I think “cromulence” is an antonym for “yellow journalism”, and its the later term that’s more befitting Smith’s one-sided, badly-researched hit piece.
