It’s Tut! It’s dazzling! Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs is opening soon at the de Young Museum.

Don’t expect another tour 30 years from now. When this exhibit ends, it ends – you’ll have to journey to Egypt ’cause this large collection of artifacts won’t ever go on the road  again.  

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom yesterday with  Dr. Zahi Hawass, the Secretary General of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities and, of course, a 3000-year-old life-size bust of the Boy King:

Don’t just show up there in Golden Gate Park this weekend, you’ll need to get your tickets first.
