    This is a security officer- not a police officer. It’s hard to see but above her patch it says “Security Officer”… I work for UC and have seen this guard. She likes to dress pretty flamboyantly.. :)

    Well you have a very good point there, Jack.

    But I’ll tell you, I saw the word “police” on the shoulder patch and then I saw the shiny metal shield so then I jumped to a conclusion, a conclusion the uniform desginer wanted me to jump to…

    I’m sure other agencies do similiar things, but this setup is a little cheesy, IMO.
