I personally witnessed this rally and stayed for a while listening to the protest message. It was indeed stunning. The demonstration was aimed at attracting attention to the 6 young men who died in Egypt by Muslim fundamentalists, as they were leaving the Church from Christmas Eve Mass.
Muslim persecution of Christians (Copts) in Egypt has resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent young women, men, and children. They have raped Christian girls, looted Christian shops, and the persecution continues. I hope this story makes the news, as it is a huge concern, because the Coptic Christian minority is the largest Christian minority in the Middle East.
