Flight 863 came close to hitting Mount San Bruno back in 1998 - that was something like 100 feet, but it could have been much closer.

Didn't realize that these could be planes from the Marines, changed "Navy" to "military."

No airplane crash in world history has ever killed "thousands" of people so it would seem funny that a single-seat fighter crashing could kill thousands

Ace reporter Redmond had previously observed (sfbg, October 9, 2007) that "The Blue Angels buzzed the Castro Street Fair on Oct. 7, one of the planes missing the top of Twin Peaks by what looked like a few feet. And almost nobody seemed to notice. . . . a few feet lower, a tiny mistake, and that F-A/18 flying toward Twin Peaks loaded with explosive jet fuel could have taken out hundreds of homes, killed thousands of people."

How this moron could write babble like that, how "Eagle Eye" Timmy was the only person watching the Blue Angels that day to notice that the jets missed the top of Twin Peaks by a few feet, has to befuddle any rational human. Even if what he observed were true it indicates the enormous skill of these Navy pilots.

Looks like VMFA-225 up from San Diego.

Heard them on Sunday, but it was one of those, "Naw, it couldn't be a military aircraft, this is San Francisco!" moments.

No cries of indignation from Chris Daly, either, he must have been in Fairfield...
