Now, I might be besmirching the stellar reputation of bone-stock WordPress blogs the world over, but Word on The Streets of San Francisco is that the U.S. Navy is, as of yesterday, not 100% opposed to letting regular people come aboard guided missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill (CG-52) this coming Thursday, June 24th, 2010.
Keeping a weather eye out for them terrorists 24/7 whilst docked at Pier 17:
Of course the swells, the People That Matter, have already taken the tour. See the portkey tents on the ship and at the end of the pier? That’s the route.
The Navy might make an announcement about this or they might not.
Anyway, we’ll see how it goes.

What time will tours start?
Well that’s the thing, I don’t know. There’s pressure on the decision-makers to have a tour on Thursday. We’ll see…
Public Tours will be available 1 PM – 4 PM – Pier 15/17!
Oh man. I wish I would have found out sooner. I served on the Bunker Hill from 93-97 in Japan. I heard it’s been dry docked in San Diego.
