The Eternal Struggle in Golden Gate Park: Raven vs. Hawk

This big old raven did not cotton to this little old hawk in the Golden Gate Park Panhandle the other day.

The hawk lost this staring contest by running and then flying away. All it wants to do is be left alone to grow up and maybe also occasionally eat baby ravens, so that’s the issue.

The air battles are more interesting of course.
