So, this coming Tuesday, August 3rd, you can start lining up at the Macy’s at 170 O’Farrell to get one of 200 free bandeau tops and a gift card and maybe even an autographed Madonna T-shirt if you can pull off a proper Material Girl get-up.

“The collection launches next week, on 8.3.10, at Macy’s Union Square, and this location is throwing two launch parties on Tuesday to celebrate! The first event will start promptly at 10 a.m, as the first 200 customers to line up at Macy’s in Union Square at this hour will receive a free bandeau top from the Material Girl collection and a $10 gift card valid only on August 3. At 11 a.m., show up in your best Madonna look for a chance to win an autographed Madonna t-shirt. Then, later in the day (at 3:00), everyone is invited to a shopping party at Macy’s!”

The first 200 customers to line up at The Macy’s Union Square Geary Street entrance at 10 AM will receive a free bandeau top from the “Material Girl” collection and a $10 gift card valid only on August 3.
Arrive dressed at Macy’s Union Square between 10 AM and 11 AM in your best Madonna look for a chance to win an autographed Madonna t-shirt.

About Material Girl:
The “Material Girl” collection was inspired and designed in collaboration with Madonna and her daughter Lourdes, along with Iconix Brand Group’s in-house fashion department. In addition to the back-to-school apparel collection, “Material Girl” will also launch in multiple categories including footwear, handbags and jewelry. The collection will retail from $12.00 to $40.00, comparative with pricing strategies at junior specialty stores. The strategy for growth will include additional categories in the lifestyle and beauty sectors, including fragrance, beginning 2011 as well as a rollout into additional Macy’s stores.
