Newsom and Sups gave over our beloved City to the clubbing industry, with likely outcome of mayhem. Look out California! The same cadre that created the Entertainment Commission, to undermine protections to peaceful homes, is going statewide--the new nightclub lobby, the “California Music and Culture Association.” They misrepresented themselves from day one, except with respect to their goal for clubs to be open until 6:00 a.m. Thanks to Newsom’s legislation, promoted as remedy to violence, clubs got everything they wanted. Recent changes to Berkeley noise laws are fair warning. If clubs wanted to meet the needs of residents and operate safely, they wouldn’t be lobbying to change state laws and bounce police off club enforcement.
