Endorsements Night at the DCCC: The Democratic Central Committee to Rank Candidates

Steven T. Jones has your program for tonight’s meeting of San Francisco Democrats. First up on the agenda are endorsements for the Fall 2010 elections, so this should prove to be an interesting joint.

This was the scene the last go around a few weeks back when Assemblyman Tom Ammiano swore everybody in:

There he is, “enemies foreign and domestic,” etc…

There’ll be pols everywhere – it’ll look like this. Can you name them all? (President Chiu, that’s the tough one)

Anyway, here are the words of STJ:

DCCC endorsements usually carry quite a bit of weight in heavily Democratic San Francisco, getting the candidates on party slate cards and entitling them to other party resources. Any races that don’t yield a majority endorsement this week would get pushed back to the September meeting, when the DCCC will consider school board endorsements. The fun starts at 6 p.m. at the Unite-Here Local 2 office at 209 Golden Gate Avenue.”

See you there.
