A throng gathered at 538 Castro* near 18th Street to hear Supervisor Sean Elsbernd, District 8 Supervisor hopeful Scott Wiener** and others get the volunteers fired up.

    Every single article(s) written is misleading,blatant-lies,in order to persuade the public to vote against the transit operator’s wages and benefits which have no real impact on this deficit fiasco nor is it a fair debate…The Examiner,SF Weekly,the mayor,supervisors of the board,Chambers of Commerce,William-Sonoma,etc…all supported financially the “PAID VOLUNTEERS” to gather illegal signatures for the Charter Amendment Reform-you the people(riders/drivers/taxpayers) are being bamboozled…Not one article reports factual events..for example…”longer-wait& more crowded buses” because of transit ops no vote to the “concession deal”…FACT: longer waiting is do to defective equipment,workforce totals not full-filled,unrealistic scheduling..The papers have never reported a balanced open and honest article on what the actual deals taken place behind the transit operators backs…remember when runs&service is cut it not only effects riders-it effects drivers pay which was evident May8 and every other time the ceo cut service

    If nothing changes, nothing changes.

    Let’s face it, Muni’s service is horrible. We have heard for years that a big part of the problem is the work rules. The absenteeism rates are astounding and costly according to the recent audit. The rules against part time workers drive up costs and reduce service. Prop G is the first Muni “fix” that I recall hearing about that actually gives me, a rider, a place at the negotiating table. The drivers need to remember that they are here for the riders.
