A 20-Percent Reduction in Asking Prices at the Presidio Landmark Apartment Building? Rentals Now Listed in the Craigslist

Here’s what I asked for back in September, when the cheapest unit at the new Presidio Landmark apartments was $2200 (plus $150 parking fee), IIRC:

“No doubt the Presidio Landmark apartments are Mega Turbo Double Awesome, but if they’ve only rented out 2% of the units after two months of trying, then perhaps a reduction in asking prices might be called for? Just asking.”

And here’s what we have in November:

$1800 Pristine Junior One Bedroom (laurel hts / presidio) [Or see below if this link has been taken down by now.]

I’m thinking that’s about a 20% reduction in asking prices, so that seems to be a good start.

I mean if you, unlike me, value “full service amenities you would find at the Four Seasons, the Ritz, or the St. Regis” then this could be the Middle Richmond District / Presidio home for you.

  1. Word Bitch says:

    *you’re
    “anoint”? Seriously?
    *it’s

It’s NOT close to 280 or downtown or 101 South freeway.

    Real estate listing FAIL.

It must be tough to be a “word bitch” in this day and age….

I missed these mistakes, had to use Control F to find them. I just sort of scanned through when I read the copy the first time.

I think they’re referring to 101 North/ Golden Gate Bridge and also Park Presidio to 280 South

15th Ave to Park Presidio to 14th to Fulton to Masonic to Oak to Octavia to the Bay Bridge – that’d be a tough commute to Oakland every day, drivingwise. Or the 38 to Powell BART – that wouldn’t be a picnic neither…

$1800/month? I still do NOT understand these rents, I live in the about 10 blocks away and pay about the same for an entire flat!

  4. Sam Foster says:

And to the first poster, did you really do the “FAIL” thing? What, are you 12?

  5. sfcitizen says:

Yeah, well, I guess they’re going for the high end of the market. Obviously they were asking for too much from the get-go. After dealing with the NIMBYs, that gets expensive.
