Does the San Francisco Dept of Public Health Pay Somebody to Drive Around a Diesel-Powered Mobile Billboard?

Yuuuuuup.

Is this how you roll, DPH?

I don’t know, I’m the last person who’s going to die from the flu so that’s why I don’t get a shot when the new doses come out every year. I’d be taking a shot from someone who needs it more than I, right?

Yes, this looks like a truck, but it doesn’t carry anything except the message on its side:

Nice black power salute (or actually, blueredmustard-united power salute) motif tho, DPH. Very street, very gritty.*

In closing, I don’t know, is this how you roll, DPH? Really?

*In Marin, they use a family of cartoon cows, I’m seriously.

  1. I’d be taking a shot from someone who needs it more than I, right?

    Nope.

When the shots first come out in the Fall? What, of course I would be. They always have a shortage

  3. No they don’t. Even during the “shortage” a few years ago when everyone was crapping their pants, we had a bunch left over well into spring. If there is any kind of shortage, the CDC/DPH will make damn sure everyone knows that healthy adults should wait.

  4. sfcitizen says:

But that’s what they say every year, right?

  6. That healthy adults should wait? Not at all. Most years there’s plenty to go around, and it’s not an issue.

  7. sfcitizen says:

I’m just saying at that location at that time, I’d be stealing a shot from somebody the DPH spends a ton of money to outreach.

I always get everything (for free, of possible) before everybody else does. I don’t mind doing that, excepting for stuff like flu shots. Aint no flu around that will bring down this bull.

    I’m not a teacher, I don’t generally ride MUNI…

  8. I would NEVER get a vaccine shot unless absolutely necessary. These shots were marketed for everyone. It is proved they are not recommended for the aged showing not difference in flu and not for kids as they are growing. Fact these shots are made for what is perceived to be the upcoming flu when reality shows they always miss the mark. Other words worthless and potentially harmflu ingredients are injected into you. It is something that never was necessary and is made to make money. So what do we have – Everyone, not! ; Free, not! ; Need, not! (note in the small print it contradicts the bold EVERYONE as kids would be excluded saying “Vaccines for Aduls.org”. Read up at DrMercola.com.
