It does seem like corporate welfare, however, the area is somewhat blighted and to large degree ignored. Lets contemplate the potential upside - the area gets improved, employees of Twitter populate the area during the day, spending money at lunch and other times which supports many other smaller business' in the area. The area becomes a valid option for other companies seeking an address outside of the traditional business environments, etc. Whereas it does appear like welfare, it might be best to view this as a total package. Not in favor here or opposed, as don't know enough to make decision.
