Paula,

Sorry, about your accident but your rationale against the implementation of 2 way traffic on this block is self-serving. I'm sure everyone living on that particular block enjoys the fact that it gets 2 cars per hour of traffic.

The reality is that having to turn left onto Laguna and proceed down Page street adds 10 minutes to the commute of every Muni rider in the morning. In addition it creates a dangerous nuisance for bikers and pedestrians on Page Street.

off with your nonsense

I am trying to find an online forum where my opinion will be passed on at the city hall hearing tomorrow. I am one of the residents living on Haight Street between Octavia Blvd. and Laguna St.

In March 2009 I was hit by a car while walking across Octavia Blvd on Haight. I had the right-of-way; light was green. I spent 5 days in SF General Hospital and 5 months on disability.

This horribly designed intersection has claimed numerous victims in the past several years. The intersection of Market and Octavia gets much more attention because the SF Bicycle Coalition is extremely well-organized, and effectively communicates its goals to the public. Pedestrians do not have a lot of political clout in this city, as evidenced by the alarming number of pedestrian injuries and fatalities, which seemingly fall on deaf ears of policy-makers.

The implementation of a 2-way traffic corridor between Octavia Blvd and Gough Street is a bad idea for a good number of reasons, and the SFMTA should be held accountable for sucking the life out of San Francisco residents while failing to address it's abominable transit services, if that's what you call them.

Don't know. It's been a one-way on that part as long as I can remember

This should be a no-brainer. Why was that block made a one-way in the first place?
