Per Bluoz, the Passion Cafe is no longer for sale – looks as if the owner is going to stick it out in Lower Shawlandia.
See? The phone number’s been covered on both sides, ergo Not For Sale No Mo:

And LiveSoMA has all the recent deets on Sixth Street in another lengthy post.
Will a Restaurant Row replace Shawlandia at some point down the road?
Who knows, anything is possible…

‘for sale’ sign removed from Passion Cafe…
It’s true, as reported here on Eater and and the diabolical SF Citizen Passion Cafe on 6th Street is not closing, and the ‘for sale’ sign has been taken down as of this morning. Steve Barton is hanging in there…
Between Taco’s Sandwiches, Tu Lan and the new Pearl’s opening on the corner, that seriously might be the best low-cost food block in the City. And not to get all Yelpish, but Passion Cafe is probably the worst run restaurant I’ve ever been to… decided to go there on my birthday late last year. It was comical how bad every part of that experience was.
The Cafe is still For Sale.
I had heard that the cafe would be taken off the market so that’s why I noticed that the phone number on the sign was covered up (the day before it was taken down…)
thx, I’ll look into this.
