And, as well, hefty discounts. 

I haven&#039;t seen these kinds of signs in other areas. 

Changing the date, or covering it up, well, that would get the seller in big big trouble, I&#039;m sure...</description>

		<description>I know plenty of stores *not* in Japantown that sell expired food with no notice or discount.  That, if not illegal, is at least a little bit shady.  &lt;i&gt;Caveat emptor&lt;/i&gt; of course, as the expiration date is marked on the product; but I&#039;d rather have the store indicate what they are doing and give me a discount or getting rid of their expired stock, should I choose to purchase it.</description>
