Now, it’s not my job to get you a job, but MUNI is pretty much always looking for new drivers.
Correct me if I’m wrong but starting salary is higher than what BART pays their somewhat shooty, “newby” officers, so there you go.
This driver didn’t seem to know what he was doing, so I’m forced to assume he’s a recent hire.
As seen yesterday on Market:

Anyway, even if you have an education, this could be for you. Maybe just for a while, until the Great Recession ends?

Yes, but the management is responsible for the training. Let’s stop blaming drivers and slash management pay and make them responsive to the public. End the Clipper Card, fare gestapo….yes I know: Don’t hold your breath!
Well, sure, the drivers need to start somewhere. That’s why I don’t think it reflects poorly on MUNI when trainees get into scrapes.
The senior drivers, the lifers probably make too much but oh well…
Let me guess what the training is:
Discourtesy
Basic traffic rules you don’t have to follow
Avoid pulling into bus stops so cars have to wait behind you
Stopping the bus in the middle of a lane so you can talk to your friend on the street or so you can pick up your lunch
Escaping blame / blaming others
and, of course, how to get a disability placard!
I don’t have a commercial drivers license either, but that shouldn’t matter
