Twitter Co-Founder Biz Stone Spams for Mayor Ed Lee – Is Twitter Now a Member of the “City Family?”

[UPDATE: Well, it looks as if this was a simple Tweeting mistake, per Brock Keeling of SFist. I wasn't up-to-speed on this. Nevertheless, all this Twitter Tax real estate Biz Stone endorsement stuff the past year is a fucking embarrassment for the City of San Francisco.]

What’s Twitter Founder Biz Stone up to today – is he spamming Twitter to boost the election chances of Interim Mayor and “Twitter-tax” tax-cutter Ed Lee?

It sure looks that way:

@katiecouric Will you endorse@EdLeeforMayor for Mayor on @Votizen?votizen.com/m/93t6at/

Is Biz making all these Tweets himself, or is a robot doing it?

Looks like a robot’s doing it, since there are so many Tweets:

Now, you know what’s funny about the whole corrupt Twitterloin real estate deal is that the “job-killing” “Twitter Tax” was signed into law back in 2004 by former Mayor / Ed Lee mentor Gavin Newsom.

Isn’t that funny?

Anyway, here’s some of the background:

Prospective Twitter Landlord Gave Newsom Rent Deal

Is this another case of Ed Lee Getting It Done?

Does Biz Stone realize what he’s doing?

Does he realize what this looks like?

Nobody likes the twitterloin deal! City of Brisbane doesn’t like it, the crack dealers in the TL sure dont like it.

  3. sfcitizen says:

    Yeah, Brisbane lost out.

But maybe Twitter will kick back about 10% of the money it’s saving on taxes and use to pay for free WiFi in the area and also on politically-connected “outreach” people, so there’s that.
