Not that I care about the lost parking spaces…
Check out the video, right here:
I think Don Fisher of The Gap paid for this operation what cost millions.
The Presidio people were supposed to have reopened the moribund Main Post Theatre by now but the Infamous NIMBYs of the Marina District and the Greedy Owners of Nearby Movie Theatres put a stop to that.
Oh well.

In addition to not having a soil base for the grass to bond to; I didn’t see any sprinkler pipes or sprinkler heads…how are they going to water all that grass?
Good question. I don’t know. I’ll ask next chance I get.
Is this just sourgrapes for the Fisher family, when the public outcry blocked their 100,000-sq.ft. new CAMP museum? Did they really think that just taking parking spots away would be a nice slap in the face, since they couldn’t put up their building on federal land? Now that Warren Hellman just died, it’s clear that his sister, Chairwoman of the Presidio Trust, must have okay’d the project with Don Fisher and got the process rolling, when the whole thing was illegal to begin with. Hellman, Fisher, alumni of Lowell High School, all bound together by only one thing: old SF banking money. SF, bow down before them!
