Mustache Lee and every mayor before him have been fine with this kind of activity . It’s keeps all the lowlife in one area and away from Specific Whites DISTRICT (hey, if the Castro and the Mission can be labeled DISTRICT, so can PH), Laurel Heights District, etc.
SFPD’s level of service has always been geared towards keep the influential relatively safe while the dregs duke it out third world style.
While really should rile us is that SROs get money from us, but City Hall doesn’t come down on them to clean up their environments.
