At first I was thinking…Easter?

And then I thought Boston Marathon.

And then I realized it was for the GSW.

Is it a little cheesy to do this so far ahead of time?

Yep, IMO.

Oakland doesn’t have much, you know.

They were going to get a pair of pandas from China, but that didn’t work out.

Oh well.

That’s Venus, the Evening Star, to the right of the dome, BTW.

And that’s a #5 Fulton hover bus heading inbound on McAllister…

I’ve been wondering this for a few day but couldn’t find anything regarding its meaning. My vote is for boston marathon “One Fund” colors-

I’m probably wrong but did you verify with city hall?

  2. sfcitizen says:

Yes. It was in the papers. They announced the blue and yellow to cheer on the Warriors just like they did for the Giants…

One time I mistook red for orange, or vice versa. Boy, was my face red/orange.

Just wrote a post on the same thing, and checked with the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services. Yep, it’s the Golden State Warriors, and yep, it is a bit presumptuous. Here’s the post with a link to you:

Yes, I already saw your bit.

It’s nice having white light street lights instead of the old yellow sodiums.

You have good shots – I’ll have to check again IRL to see if the blue is as purple as my shot indicates…

    Keep up the good work…

Of course all you transplants and newcomers would be clueless. The Warriors are in the playoffs, duh. Ever wonder what all those “The City” shirts are all about? Yup, that’s old school dubs right there. They got their beginnings in “The City”, and while they moved to Oakland back in the day they will always be the home team for SF natives. learn your SF history before you start judging.

  7. sfcitizen says:

I knew all that stuff already but all right.

This will be a publicly-financed stadium, at least partially. If you’re cool with that…
