Photo: If You Park Your Car Like This on the Sidewalk in Front of Your Garage, Some Pedestrian Just Might Kick It

Boy, if I parked an aging Honda like this and then came back to find part of its right side all stove in like this, I’d think, “Gee, maybe some ped got mad and kicked my car right where s/he wanted to walk.”

    Parking Violation: Infraction (ticket)
    Vandalism: Misdemeanor

Yes, it’s a “crime” but it’s more of an asshole move to kick a car that was a slight obstacle.

I hear you. It seems as if the driver might think it’s OK to park like this…

  3. Anon says:

Actually, if the damage is over $400, that vandalism is a felony. As arrogant as it is of the driver, it’s even more arrogant of the ped to think he can go around causing permanent damage to other peoples property just because he is temporarily inconvenienced.

  4. sfcitizen says:

Fair enough. $400 seems kind of low but that’s the threshold these days.

It seems as if the driver is permanently parking his ride here tho
