Many San Francisco Cars Prevented from Parking on Lincoln Out in the Sunset: “NO PARKING VEHICLES OVER 6′ HIGH” Signs

So this sign is a real thing but I don’t know what its purpose is.

It would appear to prevent something like Mayor Gavin Newsom’s old Chevy Tahoe SUV from parking on Lincoln:

    Is it near an intersection or crosswalk? If so, pedestrians can be hard to see if emerging from next to a tall vehicle.

    Yeah, I was thinking about that, but there doesn’t seem to be much of a difference between a Chevy Tahoe and a Nissan Pathfinder blockage-wise, but one would be banned and the other not.
