Absurdly Low 35 MPH Speed Limit on The 101 Freeway in Northern Frisco Finally Raised – Can You Guess the Limit Now?

Thursday, June 15th, 2017

[Isn’t it funny how ppl from SoCal say “the 101” when they want they want listeners to understand that it’s freeways we’re talking about while ppl from NorCal ALSO say “the 101” when they want they want listeners to understand that it’s freeways we’re talking about? Non? I guess not. Anyway, feel free to call 101 freeway the 101, even if you live in Frisco.]

40, it’s 40 MPH now. Still absurdly low, but now less absurdly.

Here’s how things used to be at 101 South in the Presidio – 35 MPH maximum. Slow, so slow+

There could be some thing where the CHP can’t give you a ticket for “speeding” at 42 MPH on a freeway, but IDK the deets on that.

Anyway, enjoy your 40 MPH autobahn, Frisco…

Now, let’s use the pejorative phrase Sunset Special in a sentence:

As people start families priorities change. Being close to the densest urban parts of SF starts to fade as a priority. Schools, safe streets, backyards with enough room for kids to play and homes larger than the typical Sunset special become higher priorities.
