Yes We Cannabis! Naked Ken Doll and Naked Brad Doll Agree: Yes on Prop 19 – As Seen on Market Street

As stated, as seen on Market Street, inbound:

The small dots are noise (due to an unnecessarily high ISO equivalence on an older camera) and the large dots are raindrops (due to an unnecessarily high shutter speed), so don’t click to expand.

10th Annual How Weird Street Faire a Huge Hit in 2009

Monday, May 11th, 2009

As promised, the 2009 edition of the How Weird (aka Howard) Street Faire yesterday had a big turnout and it went off without a hitch. Founder Brad Olsen has had to deal with a few hassles having to do with police fees but things all worked out, it appears.

So pull up a chair and watch the slide show.

Of course Founder Brad Olsen has had to deal with a few hassles having to do with police fees, but isn’t it always like that?

View the slideshow of How Weird / Howard Street faires of years past and then mark your calendar. Bring Mom, why not?

Come join the fun! All ages welcome.

And in honor of our 10th anniversary, we’re introducing…
THE MAGIC STICKER!

Only $10 donation, or $5 in costume!

When you enter the faire, you will have an opportunity to purchase a MAGIC STICKER!. The sticker gets discounts and specials throughout the faire: including $1 off each drink, discounts at vendors and local merchants, $2 off each after party, and most importantly you help keep the faire going. It’s our way of thanking you for supporting us.

When the day ends, the celebration continues indoors with a variety of music styles represented during the day.

How Weird @ Night is from 7pm to 2am

So plan accordingly, and bring something warm to wear. The tall buildings in our new location take away sunlight later in the day.

Allegation of Electronic Ballot Box Stuffing in Leno, Migden, Nation Senate Poll

Monday, April 28th, 2008

The Marin Independent Journal is trying to do the best it can in this Internet Age. That means putting content online and maybe allowing for a reader poll on some topic of the day.

Last week, IJ editor/writer Brad Breithaupt wrote a piece about the sprawling 3rd Senate District involving “incumbent Senator Carole Migden and her two challengers, Assemblyman Mark Leno and former [A]ssemblyman Joe Nation.”

Readers were allowed to cast their vote for whomever they favored until someone at the IJ cancelled it. Why? Check it:

Due to suspected ballot-box stuffing, results of the poll will not appear. You dirty rascals!”

Thusly:

Appears is if more than one person repeatedly voted for a particular candidate and, so much so, the results got all screwy. Apparently, “cookies” were involved.

Now, who would do such a thing? (If only Marin County had its own Matier and Ross to get to the bottom of this!)

Can’t we all get along?
