Are the Elusive Mission Blue Butterflies Really Back at Twin Peaks?

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Have you ever seen an endangered blue butterfly up on Twin Peaks? Well, they should be around, seeing as how we put 22 baby mamas up there just last year.

Looks like RPD General Manager Phil Ginsburg has seen a couple anyway:

Beautiful day at Twin Peaks with over 45 volunteers. Mission blue butterflies are back. Get out and play!”

Come to the Night Safari at the Conservatory of Flowers

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

This is what butterflies and moths look like at the Conservatory of Flowers in the daytime, but some of these critters only come out in the evening. So you need to get on over to the Night Safari program that they have going on the first and third Thursdays of the month. They’ll be open all day and then they bring out the flashlights at 8:00 PM.

The Conservatory at night is proving to be a popular event for families but also date night option for young couples.
