Here’s the news from LiveSOMA:
“With the birth of my first son, a ridiculously overwhelming list of work-related projects, and the fact that I was recently priced out of the South of Market Neighborhood and forced to move to a part of the City where homeless people aren’t constantly pooping on my doorstep (GASP!), I have decided not to continue.
With that said, if anyone out there would like to dust off LiveSOMA, I will gladly help you take it over. I would really hate to see the site- and its years of development- go to waste. Just shoot me an email. If not, I will be pulling the plug after the new year.”

Visitors ask all me all the time if my giant Toyota has ever gotten stuck between other cars whilst parked on the mean streets of San Francisco.
And the answer has always been in the negatory.
But I think this here is an actual case, what with bumpers of the black VW cute-ute SUV actually touching the cars ahead and behind.
See?

I don’t know, maybe you could rev your engine to gently push the cars out of your way, but that would seem to be a risky course.
I guess the driver might have to just be patient and then come back to see when escape becomes a possibility…

Or, maybe NetFlix isn’t evil.
No matter, highly-rated Film Yard Video will be gone by the end of the Summer of 2011 – the Tenderloin Geographic Society has the deets.
Uh, $9 for a DVD? Isn’t that a lot?

It’s a mystery.
Mind you, this is inside the store at 575 Market Street. The cash registers are just to the left.
And the woman camera right is noshing on a McDouble or something:

And there’s another McDonalds a stone’s throw away up the street at 609 Market? That’s just 34 away from 575 Market. Kind of close, huh?
It’s another mystery…
[All right, Commenter One sort of has the answer, and it's one that I already sort of knew (although I didn't make a connection with the addresses) but it doesn't tell the whole story. Somebody out there on this Great Blue Marble thought it was a capital idea to do honor a gas station inside a Micky D's, but I don't who, don't know when...]
