An update:
“Update on Officer Involved Shooting: GSR found on suspect’s hand
11-075a
Posted Date: 7/19/2011
As stated by Chief Suhr during Monday’s press conference, information pertaining to the investigation of the officer involved shooting that occurred on Saturday, July 16, 2011 would be released as it becomes available.
Results from the analysis of evidence collected from the hands of Kenneth Harding revealed that GSR (gunshot residue) was present on Harding’s right hand. The presence of gunshot residue on Harding’s right hand supports statements from witnesses that Harding held the gun in his right hand as he fired at the police officers.
The presence of GSR on an individual’s hands indicates that either: the individual fired a gun, the individual was in close proximity to a gun as it was discharged or that the individual touched a gun or other object with GSR on its surface and particles were transferred to his/her hands.
No GSR was detected on Harding’s left hand.”

Here it is, the July 18th SFPD news conference regarding the July 16th, 2011 shooting of Kenneth Harding, a ”parolee at-large carrying a firearm.”
(I’m ignorant of any video that shows anybody “clearly” picking up any gun myself.)
Anyway. there’s more here from the KQED News Fix.

These little gutterpunks think they can just sit down on the sidewalk at the intersection of Haight and Ashbury and eat ice cream all day. Can you imagine?
Anyway, Ben and Jerry’s Free Cone Day 2010 is a huge success today, with the line running the length of four Victorian houses.

The line at Macy’s Union Square is much shorter, as per usual on FCD. Choose or lose.
Thanks Ben, thanks, Jerry!

It’s on. Once again, it’s on. Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream is having its 32nd Annual Free Cone Day this Tuesday, March 22, 2010 from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM.
There’ll be five four places in San Francisco (79 Jefferson, where you at?) for you to get your cone on. Click onward to see the locations for the South, East, und North Bays on the jump page or just go here to see all locations in northern North America.
On Tuesday, this udder will be equipped to dispense four new flavors:
Milk & Cookies - After the company’s recent announcement of its commitment to a full Fair Trade line-up, this new flavor is leading the pack using Fair Trade ingredients. Vanilla Ice Cream with a Chocolate Cookie Swirl, Chocolatey Chip & Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Pieces.
Chocowlate Chip - Fair Trade Certified Vanilla Ice Cream with Fudge Cows. (Available in Scoop Shops only)
Peanut Brittle - Peanut Brittle Ice Cream with Peanut Brittle Pieces and a Caramel Swirl.
Maple Blondie - Maple Ice Cream with Blonde Brownie Chunks and a Maple Caramel Swirl - all in honor of Olympic Medalist Hannah Teter

Or just go for the cone, your choice.
Be aware that the B&J outlet at Haight and Ashbury can get a little crunchy and also quite a bit busy after school lets out. And without the (mostly harmless) sit/lie law on the books yet, look out for this kind of Nevius Nightmare:

Look at them there, they were just sitting / lying on the sidewalks back on Free Cone Day ’08. If I owned a house in the outer East Bay, well, my sensibilities would have been offended and my blood would have been boiling.
Anyway, observe proper Free Cone Day etiquette and…
See you there!
All the places, after the jump.

People queuing up waiting to vote in yesterday’s election had an easy time of it compared with those trying to exercise their right to obtain free dairy treats at the Ben & Jerry’s outlet at Haight and Ashbury last night.
With hundreds of “customers” lined down Ashbury Street, the small staff got overwhelmed, unlike the last ice cream giveaway when a crew of a half-dozen labored industriously. Too bad.

Cause if there’s anything Americans need more of, it’s ice cream.
Oh well.

It’s on. Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream is having it’s 30th annual Free Cone Day on Tuesday, April 29, 2008.
Founders Ben and Jerry were most recently in the local news for launching an Olympic protest during our recent torch relay. (You hear that Coke? You don’t need to sponsor every Olympiad that comes down the pike.)
Anyway, there’ll be five places in San Francisco for you to get your cone on. Click onward to see the locations for the South, East and North Bays on the jump page or just go here to see all locations in northern North America.
This udder will be equipped to dispense the four newest flavors: Coconut Seven Layer Bar, Imagine Whirled Peace™, ONE Cheesecake Brownie™, Cake Batter:
