I’ll tell you, the value of a garage these days in the Greater Western Addition / NoPA is far greater than the value of any battery electric vehicle (BEV) you could imagine.

So that’s why you’ll soon be seeing more of this:

(Now, it’s not widely known, but if you want to buy an electric car like a Nissan Leaf, you need to have your charging area approved first and that means that Nissan tells the local authorities and PG&E that you have an electric car. Anyway, no charging station, no car, I think.)

But there’s nothing stopping you from lending a hand (or a cord) to anybody who needs some juice.

Well, nothing so far.

I don’t think the militant pedestrian groups around town are going to like seeing this kind of sitch, but that’s just a guess.

Will San Francisco make special legislation about sidewalk extension cords, you know, to clear things up?
