Here you go. He was heading from City Hall to District 3 yesterday AM.

He certainly doesn’t need that Trek electric bike as he typically moves along at a good clip without assistance.

“David Crosby and Graham Nash to Tour as Crosby/Nash This Spring 1971 LIVE SET ‘ANOTHER STONEY EVENING’ OUT IN MARCH ON THE DUO’S NEW LABEL BLUE CASTLE RECORDS”

All the deets, below.

“LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17, 2011– Singer-songwriters David Crosby and Graham Nash will launch a spring tour in the U.S. with a March 25 show in Long Beach, CA. While Crosby and Nash’s legendary vocal harmonies will be the centerpiece of the show, they will be accompanied on the road by an ace-backing band featuring James Raymond (keyboards), Dean Parks (guitar), Kevin McCormick (bass), and Steve DiStanislao (drums). The initial on-sale date for tickets is January 21.

The tour will mix acoustic and plugged-in performances. “Touring with a full band gives us the opportunity to do selections from our catalogue that Graham and I haven’t performed live together before,” says Crosby. “We will also be introducing some brand new songs we’ve written, that have never been heard onstage or on record.”

Crosby and Nash are also launching their own record label, Blue Castle Records, with the first-ever digital and vinyl editions of the live album Another Stoney Evening, recorded forty years ago, in 1971 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. The release date is set for March 22, and the album can be pre-ordered through their website www.crosbynash.com when tickets for the tour go on sale.

“This album represents the very beginning of our musical relationship as a duo,” says Nash. “Whatever David and I do well together, it’s wonderful that we’re still doing it well. For the upcoming tour, with a rock ‘n roll band, we’ve gotten fantastic advance response. It’s exciting to be bringing this great new show to people.”

David Crosby and Graham Nash have each been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice – once with Crosby, Stills & Nash, and a second time with the Byrds and the Hollies, respectively.

He has been highly successful in treating a wide range of ailments, from stress related disorders, to arthritis, to those seeking a higher level of wellness in their lives.
Vibrational Energy Therapy (V.E.T.) brings wellness through a clearing of stagnant energies and a revitalization of the physical, etheric, emotional and mental fields of the body through a raising of the body’s vibrational level.
Raising the vibration of the body is one of the best ways to release any dense, static energies, as well as prevent any future blockages from occurring.  Space is created in the body and it becomes lighter, with an open, balanced flow of energy moving from head to toe. CitiApartments Pwned by City Attorney Dennis Herrera – $50K in Penalties for Obfuscation, Delay

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Our three-term City Attorney Dennis J. Herrera has just released the news about how San Francisco recently won a little compensation to pay for all the extra work it’s doing to bring poorly-rated CitiApartments / Skyline Realty* to justice. Keep in mind that these penalties are not to punish (’cause that part will come later). No, no, this $50K is just to pay us back for the extra expenses we recently incurred due to relentless foot-dragging from the infamous Lembi Family et alia.

Poor Judge Munter had to spend half of the hearing deciding how to divvy up the penalties among all the interrelated defendants. Oh well.

Read all about it here, or below.

San Francisco’s Happy Warrior: His middle name is Jose, his son speaks Mandarin Chinese and he’s been working on gay legal issues for donkey’s years, at least since the 1990′s - do you think all that might help him if he decides to run for Mayor in 2011?

Pwned:

Herrera wins Court sanctions against CitiApartments for “obfuscation, delay.” Landlords’ defiance in the face of City Attorney’s ‘Herculean efforts’ triggers order to cooperate with discovery, pay $50K sanction

SAN FRANCISCO (Feb. 2, 2010) — City Attorney Dennis Herrera has won Court-ordered sanctions against a labyrinthine web of defendants involved in the operation of CitiApartments and Skyline Realty, the residential property management and investment behemoth Herrera first sued in 2006 for its stunning array of unlawful business practices.  The order, which was signed by San Francisco Superior Court Judge John E. Munter last month and obtained this morning, compels each of the two-dozen corporate, trust and individual defendants currently named in the suit to respond to discovery requests in compliance with rules of civil procedure, and to pay sanctions to the City totaling $50,129.50, which reflects San Francisco’s fees and costs to pursue its motion to compel.  Munter’s order requires all of the defendants to comply with the order by Feb. 19, 2010.

“CitiApartments deserved to be sanctioned for its continued defiance in this case, and I’m gratified to Judge Munter for calling these tactics exactly what they are — ‘obfuscation, delay and meritless objections,’” said Herrera.  “I hope this sanction sends a message to Frank Lembi, Walter Lembi and all of the defendants responsible for CitiApartments’ lawless conduct that there is a limit to judicial patience, and they’ve reached it.  This has been a long, difficult case to address what is perhaps the most egregious corruption of San Francisco’s residential housing market in modern history.  We remain committed to pursuing this case aggressively, and I hope these sanctions are a tipping point that hastens our progress toward a just outcome.”

All the gritty nitty, after the jump.

*Let me tell you something here, whenever you’re paying your monthly rent to “LSL Property Holdings II DE LLC” or something, don’t be surprised when you have trouble getting your deposit back. This case is a morass. Anywho, your defendants:

Board of Supervisors President David Chiu Rides MUNI All the Freaking Time

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Here’s the thing about San Francisco Board of Supervisors President David Chiu – he doesn’t just go around talking about how he rides MUNI all the time.

Instead of that, he actually rides MUNI all the time. Dude’s all over town. Srsly, he’s the real deal.

How refreshing.

Keeping informed with a cell phone on his shoulder and a newspaper or two in his hand as he rushes to board the next bus going outbound on Market Street.

Someone get that man a BlueTooth.

Compare Mr. Chiu with:

“The reality is, I’m a mayor who rides Muni,” he said, noting that he’d spent some of his boyhood riding city buses. “Do I use it exclusively? No. But I use it. … I’m the real deal.”

Want to Help Your Job Hunt? Win a Facelift!

Dr. David W. Kim Announces the Jobseekers Facelift Giveaway Contest

SAN FRANCISCO, May 12 /PRNewswire/ — Sympathetic to the older job applicant, Dr. David W. Kim has established a Jobseekers Facelift Giveaway Contest. As millions compete for a limited number of jobs, older applicants (those over 40) see facial surgery and non-invasive treatments as a way to stay competitive with younger applicants. “Of course, one’s accomplishments should set one apart, but in our culture a youthful appearance is highly valued,” begins Dr. David W. Kim, former Chief of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery at University of California Medical, San Francisco. “Many matured individuals feel at a real disadvantage interviewing with wrinkles, jowls or bags under their eyes.” The San Francisco Surgery Center and anesthesiologist, Bill Spina MD, will partner with Dr. Kim to provide a facelift and treatments to one deserving winning contestant.

“My practice is in San Francisco,” begins Dr. Kim, “and with 1 out of 11 Californians out of work, I have an increasing number of older unemployed patients who want facial surgery before they start interviewing.” He is not alone. According to the Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons over 2/3 of their members believe that jobseekers are the largest industry trend for 2009.

But does facial rejuvenation really help in getting a job?  A tremendous amount of research has proven that physical attractiveness is an advantage. “Every culture advances those who carry that culture’s desired traits,” says Dr. David W. Kim. “In our culture, prominent signs of aging are usually detrimental in getting a job.”

A firm believer in a natural facial outcome as opposed to a cookie cutter effect, Dr. David W. Kim is the author of 57 papers on beautywith his most recent appearing in March/April JAMA’s Archives of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery.  He is a sought after speaker who has appeared at over 50 conferences from Seoul to Dubai and is a frequent television medical expert. His remarkable facial reconstructive work was a Discovery Television feature.

To enter, contestants can send their Why A Facelift Will Help Me Get Work story, in 250 words or less and attach a facial photo by email to: drkim@dwkimmd.com or by mail to Dr. David W. Kim, 490 Post Street, Suite 933, San Francisco, CA 94102.  They are also encouraged to supplement their entry by posting up to a one-minute video on YouTube and emailing the URL link to drkim@dwkimmd.com.

Dr. Kim will be accepting applications from May 15th through June 15th.  You can learn more about Dr. Kim at www.dwkimmd.com.  The winner will be informed by June 19, 2009.

An Opinionated Car on the Streets of San Francisco

Friday, December 12th, 2008

This aging Honda has something to say:

“S.F. POLITICIANS USE SAME SEX MARRIAGE TO HELP LESBIANS ROB THE CRADLE”

O.K. fine. If it’s any help to try to understand the message, the car also has a couple flags flying, as seen in the upper left. (Maybe that’s not too much help.)

At least the message is polite.

San Francisco Loves the GUMBALL 3000 10th Anniversary Rally

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

Or Gumball Rally, or whatever. After starting up yesterday, there was a huge crowd today atop Nob Hill today. Was Willie Brown on the scene? Yes, he was. People came to check out Gumball 3000.

Driving 3000 miles over an intense eight days, incorporating the cultural diversities of East and West civilisations; flying all cars and participants between Continents; witnessing the Mass Games in North Korea, the Olympic Games in Beijing; and partying each night fuelled only by adrenaline, amusement and amity, the 2008 route will undoubtedly be a real once in a lifetime adventure!

There was nothing politically correct about this event today. People saw all manner of products from Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley, etc… Check these photos from BERDERP / kap$hure / kapsure, why don’t you?

Let’s begin.

Good clean fun in San Francisco. A Ford Mustang, click to enlarge:

This Porsche Carrera GT was obscenely loud even before getting amplified with a bullhorn.

A Camaro RS entertains the crowd. Sargeant Colla of the SFPD put an end to this kind of smoky burnout right quick.

An all-electric Tesla Roadster just before it crashed. Oops, just kidding. The driver of this car carefully put it into position. But seriously, the kinds of drivers this car attracts are prone to go too fast so they have more than their fair share of accidents. Who will be the first to die in a Tesla Roadster?

go8f0652-copy.jpg

It’s dreamy David Hasselhoff . Knight Rider’s KITT was there also. “Don’t hassel ‘the Hoff,’” or something, that’s his catchphrase.

Isn’t illegal to have flashing red and blue lights on your car? Anywho, this SFPD officer turned away from the scene.
