Pity poor Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger – tonight he crashed the annual San Francisco Democratic Party Fundraising Gala and Auction at the Fairmont Hotel atop Nob Hill and he was rewarded with a loud round of booing.
Poor guy. Did Assemblymember Tom Ammiano spontaneously yell, “You lie” at Arnold, ala Congressman Joe Wilson? Haha!

The evening captured via Francis Tsang’s BlackBerry

News of the Day: Republican John McCain is getting a little tired of being compared with President George W. Bush all the time:
“You will hear from my opponent’s campaign in every speech, every interview, every press release that I’m running for President Bush’s third term. You will hear every policy of the president described as the Bush-McCain policy. Why does Senator Obama believe it’s so important to repeat that idea over and over again?”
People at last week’s Union Street Festival (aka “Eco-Urban Festival”, aka BoozeFest ’08) had a chance to examine the differences between Bush and McCain firsthand. Check it:

Thanks to the Internets, you can take the Bush-McCain Challenge yourself right now. It’s tough! For example, the first query is:
Who promised that U.S. troops would be greeted as “liberators” in Iraq?
People at the neighboring Republican Party ironing board recruiting center (seen in background with the blue balloon) might think this push poll a tad unfair. What do you think?
