Well, at least for this particularly oddly-shaped piece of real estate on Main Street near Folsom, the answer was this many:

“Last in, first out.” Click to expand.
I don’t know if this lot in SoMA is still around. The photo was taken from the office of a billionaire who was quite solicitous owing to a project he wanted to kick off before he himself kicked off.
Here’s what I wrote a half decade back:
It might be a pain to park here, under the shadow of the new Infinity San Francisco towers, but at least you won’t get the boot, or get into a chain reaction accident, or get all messy. Of course, if you work for San Francisco Honda, then just park wherever - the sidewalk, for example.
Lastly, DO NOT PAY THIS MAN!“

This car isn’t going to be rescued by its owner. This car is going to sit around collecting tickets until AutoReturn or something similar comes along to tow it away, with extreme prejudice.
(Right? Like why pay the SFMTA more than $1000 for a car worth less than $1000…)
But before you abandon your ride forever, be sure to let the SFMTA know what you think about it. To wit:
“EAT MY SHIT, YOU SHIT-EATING PIECES OF SHIT.”
Oh, that’s not nice!
Now, let’s check the stinger on the arm:
“GO SUCK A FAT DICK, YOU BITCH-ASS FAGS.”
See? “Moving Forward Together” with the SFMTA:

Or maybe all this guy does it take Denver boots off of cars,* I can’t tell.
Anyway, you’ll figure out the system shortly after you accumulate five or more unpaid parking tickets in the 415.
It happens.
Please note the brand-new Automatic Number Plate Recognition video cameras on the roof of the white minivan, the better to scan in your license plate, automatic-like.
That’s how they get you
(There ought to be a “Denver Boot Man Alert” app for your phone, you know, for when he comes within a half-mile of your ride, give you a chance to switch license plates or something…)
*Just like Angle Grinder Man, except AGM is on the other side of the law.
The judge said five to ten but I say double that again
I’m not working for the clampdown
No man born with a living soul
Can be working for the clampdown

Crosby and Nash are returning to the play the 415 at our Warfield Theatre:
“David Crosby and Graham Nash to Tour as Crosby/Nash This Spring 1971 LIVE SET ‘ANOTHER STONEY EVENING’ OUT IN MARCH ON THE DUO’S NEW LABEL BLUE CASTLE RECORDS”
All the deets, below.

“LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17, 2011– Singer-songwriters David Crosby and Graham Nash will launch a spring tour in the U.S. with a March 25 show in Long Beach, CA. While Crosby and Nash’s legendary vocal harmonies will be the centerpiece of the show, they will be accompanied on the road by an ace-backing band featuring James Raymond (keyboards), Dean Parks (guitar), Kevin McCormick (bass), and Steve DiStanislao (drums). The initial on-sale date for tickets is January 21.
The tour will mix acoustic and plugged-in performances. “Touring with a full band gives us the opportunity to do selections from our catalogue that Graham and I haven’t performed live together before,” says Crosby. “We will also be introducing some brand new songs we’ve written, that have never been heard onstage or on record.”
Crosby and Nash are also launching their own record label, Blue Castle Records, with the first-ever digital and vinyl editions of the live album Another Stoney Evening, recorded forty years ago, in 1971 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. The release date is set for March 22, and the album can be pre-ordered through their website www.crosbynash.com when tickets for the tour go on sale.
“This album represents the very beginning of our musical relationship as a duo,” says Nash. “Whatever David and I do well together, it’s wonderful that we’re still doing it well. For the upcoming tour, with a rock ‘n roll band, we’ve gotten fantastic advance response. It’s exciting to be bringing this great new show to people.”
David Crosby and Graham Nash have each been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice – once with Crosby, Stills & Nash, and a second time with the Byrds and the Hollies, respectively.

San Francisco’s NIMBY-esque neighborhood parking program has claimed yet another victim.
SFMTA ought to make an exception for classic cars, right?

After famous Conan O’Brien performed at his “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour 2010“ at the Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium on April 22-23 he headed south down to San Joser. But on the way, he managed to put in a visit to Google’s HQ in Mountain View. O.K. then.
Well, he was simply delighted with Google’s Japanese-made Toto toilets. Check the YouTube.
