Uh oh, there’s a problem with candidate Michela Alioto-Pier saying she’d be “the first woman elected mayor of San Francisco.”
As David Cruise and others of the Twitterverse have pointed out:
“Nothing worse than hearing lies coming out of a candidates mouth… Michela needs to stop saying #SF has never elected a woman #SFMayor.”
Indeed.
And as a matter of fact, San Francisco had a stretch of 16 years, from 1971 to 1987, when Dianne Feinstein ran for Mayor four times in a row and ended up winning twice.
