“This project seeks to implement aesthetic and safety improvements for all users of Polk Street between McAllister and Union Streets. In accordance with the City’s Transit First policy, improvements will primarily be focused on people who walk, use transit and ride a bicycle along Polk Street. The project is funded by Proposition B General Obligation Bonds and is part of an overall citywide effort to curb pedestrian and bicycle collisions and to provide a safe north-south connection for people on bicycles. Pedestrian and bicyclist collision and injury data on Polk Street point to a corridor in need of safety improvements for all those who share the road. In fact, the southern portion from Sacramento to McAllister Streets is part of the 5% of San Francisco streets that have more than half of the City’s most severe pedestrian collisions.”
So these new Nx Judah Express Buses are “wrapped,” right? That means that they generally just sit around waiting to function in one direction during the morning drive and the other in the evening.
So, does the Nx Judah Express concept make sense?
Well, sure, you say, cause it gets you from the outer reaches of the West Bay, way out in the Outset, in San Francisco Adjacent, all the way into San Francisco Proper faster than the regular N Judah.
Yeah, but does it make sense?
Why don’t we have a Tx Third Street Express as well? Cause isn’t the newish T-Third line as fucked up as the N-Judah?

And the only reason why MUNI doesn’t charge you Outsetters three or four or five dollars a trip is because the SFMTA tried doing that before and failed in that attempt. But, rest assured, raising the price of express buses is on their list of things to do.
Anyway, consider the Nx Judah Express a kind tangible gift to Supervisor Carmen Chu.

Now I can’t tell you all the shenanigans planned for this rally by some of the anti-L people because I don’t know all the deets, but nothing occurred because FTC’s secured and ginormous backyard was the venue. See? Look, Michela Alioto-Pier was there:

Proposition L will ensure public sidewalks are accessible for everyone, and that all San Franciscans can enjoy the public right-of-way without fear of harassment. This is a commonsense law that is being used with success in 60 other U.S. cities including Berkeley, Santa Cruz, and Seattle.
Proposition M is a political ploy by the Board of Supervisors intended to kill Measure L with a “poison pill.” Prop M neither changes deployment of foot patrols nor resources; this Measure puts politics ahead of your public safety.
