As always, YOU MAKE THE CALL:
I thought the fun was in the coloring…
“The Asian Art Museum needs your help. One of our terracotta warriors is lost, and we have to find him before China’s Terracotta Warriors: The First Emperor’s Legacy opens on February 22. What we know is this: a small group of terracotta warriors journeyed from their home in China to the museum—but somewhere along the way, this one took a wrong turn and is now missing. He’s 2,112 years old, about 5’ 5” tall, mud-colored, and doesn’t speak English.”

“Until next time, May 5 2012, to chase the full moon….”
Look what Richmond District resident and photographer David Cruz spotted yesterday afternoon:
“Early this morning, I was walking through the forrest on the West end of Golden Gate Park when I saw 2 ears and 2 eyes watching me. I stood still and was able to take a few pictures.
Big ears like an Easter Bunny but it turned to be an Easter coyote

I’ve never been this close to a coyote in San Francisco and I haven’t seen any lately…
It’s good to know that San Francisco’s urban coyotes can live in peace out there…
Now I’ll tell you, I haven’t seen Diva and Dude lately, but I still have time to find them.

I still have time…
That’ll keep me busy, so I’ll let Academia do all the heavy lifting:
“First, notice that the bunnies are gendered. “Diva Da’ Bunny” is a movie star (Bling! Bling!) and Dude Da’ Bunny likes to jam to his ipod, play video games, and ogle girl bunnies. Notice also how the dude bunny, with his giant gold medallion and hip hop clothes, is charactered as urban or “street,” maybe even Black. Do kids these days need to be bribed with gendered and racialized caricatures to get them to eat chocolate!? Somehow I doubt it.”
Closing with a scene from Dude’s one-man-show.
“San Francisco’s grandest Easter morning tradition gets under way at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the annual Sunrise Service at Mount Davidson Cross. This year’s citywide celebration atop the City’s highest peak marks the 89th anniversary of the event.”

And here are a bunch of less-secular things going on about town…
Supplies of Diva da’ Bunny and her friend Dude da’ Bunny were low this Spring in the bay area. Perhaps the unusually low number of WalMart stores in the 415 / 510 / 650 regions can explain why we didn’t get our fair share of chocolate hip hop.
As Diva da’ Bunny says: “Bling! Bling!”

Here’s a haunting visage, huh?
Make sure you don’t pick up the evil version by mistake:
Have a happy Easter Spring Break!
Thank Gaia we still have photos of these Vernal Equinox Lagomorphs.
