I don’t exactly know why, but our San Francisco Ballet opened its doors last night for a last-of-the-season performance of Giselle.
First, it was all like this, with the will-call line going down Van Ness and then curving around to Grove:
And then it was like this – here’s the view from first class, courtesy of McNitt.
(Oh, so that’s what it looks like from up there. I’ve never been.)
And then it ended with a standing ovation for Maria Kochetkova (@balletrusse – she has 110,000 Twitter followers at this point) and everybody else involved.
Truly a memorable evening it was.
Hey, why not head over to the SFB right now and score three performances for $78 ‘n stuff?
And don’t forget about enchanting story ballet Coppélia coming March 19th, 2011.
See you there!
