(Gentle Readers, you know that I love you, all 14 of you, no matter what. But others, well, they only care about cosmetic-type things – they’ll like you better if you pay somebody to shoot protein into your face, oh well.)
Can you imagine making a post on the Yelp about your plastic surgeon and then getting hit with a multi-million dollar defamation (plus invasion of privacy plus interference with prospective economic advantage, you know, the whole megillah) lawsuit?
Well, check out the Marin IJ for the sad story of Dr. Kimberly Henry‘s pwnage from Judge Roy Chernus. Wow.
Oh, and surprise, they’re talking about this case on the Yelp.
A little of this, and now you’re beautiful!

Forty reviews are no longer standing for Dr. Kimberly A Henry, but three are still there.
Anyway, Only in Marin, as they say…

Dirty Harry at 40 continues with the case of the pool atop our Financial District / Chinatown Hilton.
Now check it – everybody’s favorite psycho killer hippie Scorpio somehow got on the roof of famously-sawtoothed* 555 California, you know, in order to start the carnage. See?

Now wouldn’t it be cool to go swimming up there on a dreaded sunny day?
Well, we’ll never know – here’s how it looks these days:

Empty empty empty.
Oh well…
I’ll get some more screen grabs and make some more posts from this movie later on.
In the meantime, check out all the locations – there are lots and lots:
In San Francisco:
- 555 California Street
- California Hall, 625 Polk Street (until recently, the California Culinary Academy)
- San Francisco City Hall
- Hall of Justice – 850 Bryant Street
- Forest Hill Station
- Hilton San Francisco Financial District, 750 Kearny Street – rooftop swimming pool in opening scenes
- Kezar Stadium – Frederick Street, Golden Gate Park
- Dolores Park, Mission District
- Mount Davidson
- Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Washington Square, 666 Filbert Street
- Washington Square, North Beach
- Big Al’s, 556 Broadway St.
- Roaring 20′s strip club, 552 Broadway
- North Beach, San Francisco
- Other locations
*So every shark laboring at triple-five Cal can have his/her own “corner office,” of sorts, that’s why the BofA Building has that distinctive shape.

Say what you will about that highly-rated Dirty Harry film, it ably shows you what the 415 looked like back in 1971, back before it became too expensive for Hollywood to do business in San Francisco. This movie is all 100% genuine on-location San Francisco Bay Area (with the exception of the early bank heist shots).
Now these days, the Golden Gate Park’s Buffalo Paddock doesn’t have more than a half-dozen critters. There’s just a handful left, all female (the Golden Girls let’s call them), so unless Ted Turner comes through with his offer of free bison from one of his ranches in Montana or someplace, we’re going to run out of bison.
But check out how things were back in the day. They were all over. See?
You can barely make out the school bus that psychotic hippie Scorpio just hijacked:

These little gutterpunks think they can just sit down on the sidewalk at the intersection of Haight and Ashbury and eat ice cream all day. Can you imagine?
Anyway, Ben and Jerry’s Free Cone Day 2010 is a huge success today, with the line running the length of four Victorian houses.

The line at Macy’s Union Square is much shorter, as per usual on FCD. Choose or lose.
Thanks Ben, thanks, Jerry!

It’s on. Once again, it’s on. Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream is having its 32nd Annual Free Cone Day this Tuesday, March 22, 2010 from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM.
There’ll be five four places in San Francisco (79 Jefferson, where you at?) for you to get your cone on. Click onward to see the locations for the South, East, und North Bays on the jump page or just go here to see all locations in northern North America.
On Tuesday, this udder will be equipped to dispense four new flavors:
Milk & Cookies - After the company’s recent announcement of its commitment to a full Fair Trade line-up, this new flavor is leading the pack using Fair Trade ingredients. Vanilla Ice Cream with a Chocolate Cookie Swirl, Chocolatey Chip & Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Pieces.
Chocowlate Chip - Fair Trade Certified Vanilla Ice Cream with Fudge Cows. (Available in Scoop Shops only)
Peanut Brittle - Peanut Brittle Ice Cream with Peanut Brittle Pieces and a Caramel Swirl.
Maple Blondie - Maple Ice Cream with Blonde Brownie Chunks and a Maple Caramel Swirl - all in honor of Olympic Medalist Hannah Teter

Or just go for the cone, your choice.
Be aware that the B&J outlet at Haight and Ashbury can get a little crunchy and also quite a bit busy after school lets out. And without the (mostly harmless) sit/lie law on the books yet, look out for this kind of Nevius Nightmare:

Look at them there, they were just sitting / lying on the sidewalks back on Free Cone Day ’08. If I owned a house in the outer East Bay, well, my sensibilities would have been offended and my blood would have been boiling.
Anyway, observe proper Free Cone Day etiquette and…
See you there!
All the places, after the jump.

West Bay:
Ben & Jerry’s Argonaut

San Francisco, CA 94109
