The 12th Annual How Weird Street Faire is coming to SoMA at noon, May 1st, 2011. So dust off your cowboy hat and go, why not?

Bollyweird: The Cosmic Dance. Ten blocks of art, performances, colorful costumes, unique vendors, food and drinks. Plus ten stages of electronic music, non-stop fashion shows, and healing arts. And a new world record that you can take part in!
The faire is a fusion of different styles and communities, united in fun. All ages are welcome. Costumes and dancing are encouraged.VOLUNTEERS ARE STILL NEEDED.
Sunday will be a little windy and cool at night, so bring something warm to wear.
Will Butterfly Guy return for oh nine? That’s affirmative, good buddy.

The How Weird Street Faire is an experiment in creating peace, bringing together a wide range of eclectic styles and communities.

THE MAGIC STICKER!
Only $10 donation, or $5 in costume!
When you enter the faire, you will have an opportunity to purchase a MAGIC STICKER!. The sticker gets discounts and specials throughout the faire: including $1 off each drink, discounts at vendors and local merchants, $2 off each after party, and most importantly you help keep the faire going. It’s our way of thanking you for supporting us.
When the day ends, the celebration continues indoors with a variety of music styles represented during the day.
How Weird @ Night is from 7pm to 2am
So plan accordingly, and bring something warm to wear. The tall buildings in our new location take away sunlight later in the day.
Perhaps you could win a scholarship too. Not sure if you could use it at a Jesuit school like USF, but it’s worth a try for all you unbelievers out there. Wouldn’t you want to be just like these attractive, localatheists during the next Evolution-Palooza on Darwin Day?
