Just an update on this post.
Labor Day 2014:
You know, if Kink leaves us, then somebody else will use that building for something, so no biggee, right?
All right, play us out, Charlie Daniels:
From The Sound up in Long Island
Out to San Francisco Bay
And everything that’s in between them is our own
And we may have done a little bit
Of fightin’ amongst ourselves
But you outside people best leave us alone
‘Cause we’ll all stick together
And you can take that to the bank
That’s the cowboys and the hippies
And the rebels and the yanks
First, it was all like this, with the Stars and Stripes and the Bear Flag flying over the Kink.Com Armory, you know, along with a couple other flags, like San Francisco’s very own Screaming Chicken and a seasonal one, like a Rainbow Flag for Gay Pride Month and a French tricolour for Bastille Day, that kind of thing.
This has been the case for years and years:
But now, having to do with the spread of infectious disease, Kink.Com is extremely pissed off at certain governmental entities and is therefore threatening to move away.
The proof of that is this – those are black, K-for-Kink flags on the left there:
I was trying to say the same thing here but ppl didn’t believe me, so now you’ve got this new shot of the four current flags plus a Google Maps shot from a few months back..
My work is done here.
(And Kink, why not just move to Nevada if you want to move to Nevada?)

Kink.com in the Mission!
James Franco, the young San Francisco lawyer (apparently employed, this is Hollywood after all) takes Cherry to the roof of Medjul:
Hey, it’s Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire
Whose streets? Our streets! You can’t fake this kind of verite in a Hollywood back lot:
Oh, Cherry crashes her Audi at some point. An official SFPD Harley is in that scene.
And here’s Mel’s Drive In in the background:
And here’s the trailer:
Famous San Francisco writer Matt Smith is the cause of a boycott call in the Castro District due to his Whipped and Gagged piece, the one that dealt with Kink.com, aka Cybernet Entertainment, LLC. Matt’s article seemed perfectly cromulent, but some disagree.
Irregardless, here’s one of the flyers from Castro Street betwixt 17th and 18th.
Well it’s July 14, so it must be time for another Bastille Day in San Francisco. Peter Acworth‘s Kink.com famously makes pornography at the old San Francisco National Guard Armory and Arsenal down in the Mission district, but they’re never too busy to let a holiday go by without hoisting some huge flags for the occasion.
And anyway, efforts like this might serve to tamp down some of the criticism from the neighbours.
Get over to Belden Alley in the Financial District (“the financh”) sometime today to get in on the fun.
