I assume that this officer is parked here, betwixt the Conservatory of Flowers and 8th Avenue, for the benefit of speeders.
(BMW drivers, especially, have a hard time keeping to the limit here, it seems…)

Sometimes the cops put an automated radar trailer what tells you your speed, but people tend to ignore it.
As this Audi (Chariot of the Yuppie) driver shows. (Note that he was slowing down to 36 MPH in this shot.)

Oh well.

Of course Socketsite (“San Francisco real estate tips, trends, and the local scoop”) is all over this new listing for 1581 Masonic Avenue, you know, the place up in Ashbury Heights that was purchased just two years ago by former Mayor Gavin Newsom and former First Lady Jennifer Siebel Newsom.
The purchase price back then was $2,738,000, so that means that they’ll yield a “profit” of $12,000 if some lunkhead actually pays the asking price that was posted last night: $2,750,000.
They say it’s lovely on the inside:

Do you think 3000 square feet is enough room for a four-person nuclear family in San Francisco? You make the call:

Contact Barbara J. Callan or Robert R. Callan, Jr. to get your offer in.

The frisson from a half year back is hotting up again, what with the MSM once again covering Halle Barry’s family’s flight from paparazzi-laden SoCal.
Will this famous fam make a move to the tiny Town of Ross up in Marin County?
“My unconfirmed rumor is that they are now renting in Tiburon, while building a house in Ross. I guess they did not buy Sean Penn’s property there. They have been spotted attending the local theater in Tiburon.”

That’s the best rumor I’ve heard, anyway. It has the verisimilitude, n0n?

Well it’s in the San Francisco Business Times, so it must be true – the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition is moving its headquaters to a new building, the Bong Building.
San Francisco’s historic ten-story Hidden Treasure #44.20 is purple, mas o menos. And it has gold cherubs.
See?

The building’s name is Bong, James Bong.
Look for this bike trailer, or possibly this one, to be hauling stuff from the notorious intersection of Sixth and Market to the Fourth and Market area. (They’ll have to mind the pigeon family living in the traffic signal at the intersection with Mason.)
Bon courage, SFBC!
Meet your new neighbors:

First come the radar trailers, then comes John Law, handing out the tickets on JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park. Your 11-99 Foundation license plate holder und ID card don’t work on City streets, don’t you know?

The driver of this Audi A4, chariot of the harried yuppie, throws out the anchor to slow down to 36 MPH in a 25 zone. Click to expand
