You know, I was just telling one my parole officers the other day, you know what this town needs is something you could call San Francisco’s Online Newspaper, or something. Wouldn’t that be appealing, SF? Well guess what - coming soon to an iPad near you, is The Daily from Rupert Murdoch.
Now, The Daily will be based out of Noo Yawk so it won’t have too much of a San Francisco focus at first, anyway, but for some reason the glitzy kick-off stage event will be in the 415 next week at our MoMA in the SoMA. At least that’s what they’re saying.
Expect Great Things!
This looks just like RP, you’ll see.
Our SF MoMA is a magnet for aging, trophy-wived media barons, for some reason. Check out Larry King’s visit with one of his wives from just last year:

After famous Conan O’Brien performed at his “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour 2010“ at the Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium on April 22-23 he headed south down to San Joser. But on the way, he managed to put in a visit to Google’s HQ in Mountain View. O.K. then.

Front cleansing indeed.
Conan O’Brien’s 32-city “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour 2010“ delighted all comers at the sold-out Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium tonight.
It went a little something like this.
Friday’s show should be a hit as well. Keep up with the action at the Twitter via #cobnob
Bonus: the Masturbating Bear made an appearance tonight as well:

O.K. then. Coco is leaving us tomorrow Friday, April 23 2010. It will be tough getting into his final show in S.F., but:
“Wow. If Conan is coming to your city, find a way to get tickets. I was literally in tears from laughing so hard.”
And the Late Night Talk Shows Examiner seems to like this tour a lot.

Oh, it’s on. It’s going to be Coco a Gogo when Conan O’Brien’s “half-assed“ 32-city “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour 2010“ comes to the Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium April 22-23. It’ll be just like 2007 all over again.
“Full Price Tickets” from TicketMonster are going right now for $74, all up. And for just $695 you can get in on the Meet and Greet Package- wouldn’t you like a photo of you and Conan to put on the FaceBook for all your “friends” to see? Sure you would.
I don’t know, maybe you can score some cheaper ticks by using your AmEx card or going to the box office or something.
See you there!

Popular Bay Area local Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger III was just seen on the East Coast in his debut interview on 60 Minutes. Not that I ever watch that show, but I’ll check it out tonight, just for kicks. The reminder that his interview with Katie Couric was going to be on tonight came from the spike in traffic this blog just received.
It seems America is still curious about the issue of whether Sully is Jewish (see below for the online search terms people are trying right now), a question that probably wouldn’t have occurred to me otherwise. The Jewish Post of New York (Your Gateway to the Jewish World) looked into it and signs point to no. But that’s O.K., right? A better question might be why he was prepared to act correctly on that day.
Of course we have a lot of knucklehead pilots up there, so how do we get more like Sully? He stands out with his military experience, the amount of experience he has generally and the number of hours he has spent cogitating about accidents. It’s nice to know that he and his ilk won’t be forced to retire at age 60 (which, until recently, was a hard and fast rule.
And speaking of Sully’s future, it looks like San Francisco politico and Sullenberger family spokesperson Alex Clemens of Barbary Coast Consulting and the famous The Usual Suspects website will have his hands full sorting through all the offers, including one from Richard Branson of Virgin Air.
Anyway, here are some of the search terms people across America are using today:
