Turn Off the Dark: Our 88-Year-Old Pacific Telephone Building is Back in Business, Baby! 140 New Montgomery is All Lit Up

Thursday, November 28th, 2013

Thusly:

You see, first it was all like this, abandoned, empty:

Then it was all like this, as seen from 225 Bush, a slightly older and slightly shorter building:

And then you could see through the thing, as seen earlier this year:

And now it’s a beacon at night.

I guess it’s called 140NM now? Ok fine.

So, first this building was commercial office space, then they wanted to change it to condos, and then they changed it back to office space, and now I’ll bet they wished they had stuck with the condo idea. Oh well.

Of What Use is the San Francisco Small Business Commission (SBC)? Should We Have a Large Business Commish As Well?

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

I don’t know, you think the Small Business Commission would approve the shut-down of Costco and Safeway and Lucky and all the others for the simple reason that they aren’t small businesses? Mmmm….

Anyway, our Small Biz Commish just voted in favor of small bizzes, in a way.

Here’s the beauty part:

“I don’t think that we are going to turn this down because we are afraid that it’s not legal.”

All right, well, anyway, it’s close to being not legal with the way things are now, just saying, SBC.

Suffer the non-small businesses of the world:

Where’s their business commission?
