Campaign 2014: Here’s What 3.3 Pounds of Mail in a Mailbox Looks Like – Plus, David Chiu is Very Very Evil

Monday, November 3rd, 2014

(Yes, there is white powder on the LCD screen of this digital scale - why do you ask?*)

(And no, I don’t think David Chiu is evil, but man, you ought to see some of these fliers I’m getting…)

Anyway, here’s what I pulled out of the old mailbox yesterday – 52 ounces of garbage, plus, somewhere in there, a small check from State Farm, a diamond in the rough:

P1160921 copy

Now, granted, there was a B&H catalog in there, plus a Costco Connect magazine, but the bulk of the bulk was campaign 2014 flyers what cost more to mail than they cost to produce.

My poor letter carrier!

*It’s flour, fool, purchased in bespoke fashion [25 pounds at a time] from my local purveyor of comestibles [Amazon, Fuckin’ A, bubba, back when it was only $27 a bag - now it’s like $40 for some reason?]

Here’s Why “Evil Republican Billionaire” Sean Parker is Four Times LESS Evil Than What the SFMTA Crowd is Saying

Friday, October 31st, 2014

Well, here’s the latest from the I HEART THE SFMTA NO MATTER HOW TERRIBLE IT MIGHT BE crowd on Sean Parker and Prop L.

The thing is, poor, sensitive* Sean Parker actually is the number one booster of Prop A, the billion dollar general obligation bond what the I HEART THE SFMTA NO MATTER HOW TERRIBLE IT MIGHT BE crowd really really wants passed.

Check it – he’s listed number one, owing to his $200,000 donation:

seannyboy copy

Prop A is real life – it will take tens of millions of property tax dollars and, through “pass-throughs,” it just might raise your rent to the tune of thousands and thousands of dollars over the years. By that, I’m not saying that rents will go up generally, I’m saying you the renter will have to pay a surcharge to your landlord on top of the rent you already pay, despite your rent control.

OTOH, Prop L will have no effect whether it gets 49% or 51% of the vote. Of course, if it wins in a landslide, it will make life a bit more difficult for some activists. But if it loses in a landslide, it will be a useful talking point for those very same activists.

IMO, the SFMTA is afraid of any vote where it can’t control the selection of the voters. It’s grown accustomed to claiming widespread “community support” for all of its efforts. The SFMTA uses this sample bias to make itself feel better, and to help it to grow more and more, which is its number one goal.

So, stop abusing poor, sensitive Sean “Park”-er. He’s on your side, you “livable streets” people.

*He canceled his honeymoon after his stupid illegal wedding made the news? What he should have said was, “I’m sorry, I screwed up – I’ll try to make things better.” And then go on and pay the millions and millions he was going to pay anyway. See? Simple. Instead, his billionaire type friends “supported” him by telling him how “wronged” he was. Oh well.

OMG, It’s Republican Week at the Commonwealth Club: P.J. O’Rourke, Tom Perkins, and Amy Chua & Feb 12-14

Monday, February 10th, 2014

Your Commonwealth Club has gone stark raving mad for the Grand Old Party this week!

Check it here are the top three joints that the CC is promoting right now:

PJ O’Rourkewas the original Republican Party Reptile.

And Tom Perkins, he’s registered, baby. (NB: Nobody gives a flying foxtrot about your golf-delta watch, Tom Perkins. So you shouldn’t ever show it to people without them asking about it first.)

And Tiger Mother Amy Chua* et vir,** well, they sure sound Republican.

But rest assured, the following week features Barbara Boxer and other Dems flogging their books and causes and whatnot, so everything’ll be back to normal soon ‘nough.

Hurray!

This concludes OMG, It’s Republican Week at the Commonwealth Club: P.J. O’Rourke, Tom Perkins, and Amy Chua & Jed Rubenfeld Feb 12-14.

*”Provocative and profound, Chua and Rubenfeld will transform the way we think about success and achievement.” Uh, nope!

**Namely, Tiger Mother Baby Daddy (TMBD) Jed Rubenfeld. Who’s he? Let’s check his Wiki – “Personal life: Rubenfeld is Jewish.” OK then.

Flags of Single-Party States Over San Francisco City Hall: Germany 1935, People’s Republic of China 2012

Monday, October 21st, 2013

1935: Germany strong:

2012: People’s Republic* of China strong:

And you can’t see, but there are five stars on the PRC flag:

“The five stars and their relationship represents the unity of Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. The orientation of the stars shows that the unity should go around a center.[6] The larger star symbolizes the Communist Party of China, and the four smaller stars that surround the big star symbolize the four social classes (the working class, the peasantry, the urban petite bourgeoisie and the national bourgeoisie) of Chinese people mentioned in Mao’s “On the People’s Democratic Dictatorship

In the center of the photo, you’ll find “heiress and socialite” Charlotte Smith Mailliard Swig Shultz, wife of Famous Republican George P. Shultz – check out her bio.** Now, which star is for her? I’m thinking it’s the star representing the national bourgeoisie, but IDK for sure.

*The current communist or socialist states that include the words People’s Republic in their full names:

Historical examples include:

** CSMSS (born ca. 1934) is an American heiress and socialite. She is the Chief of Protocol for the state of California, and the Chief of Protocol for the City and County of San Francisco.[1] She is the wife of former United States Secretary of State George P. Shultz.[2] In 2007, she was named Honorary Commander of The Royal Victorian Order by Queen Elizabeth II.

How about a Lincoln hat? Here you go:

Now we’re going to lose the hat but go full desaturated. I think we’ve reached endgame:

Presidential Polling Update: CHIA OBAMA: 69.6% vs. CHIA ROMNEY: 29.5% – Terrracotta Planters Don’t Lie

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012

Don’t ask about sales of Chia Ron Paul these days.

Anyway, that Chia company is based in San Francisco. Who knew?

Is this “Happy” Chia Obama or “Determined” Chia Obama? I can’t tell:

All the deets:

“Chia Obama Sales Are Leading Chia Romney Sales - CHIA OBAMA: 69.6% vs. CHIA ROMNEY: 29.5%

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 2, 2012 – Now there is a new kind of poll about the Presidential election – the “Chia Poll.”  While Romney and Obama are battling it out in the political polls, Chia versions of Romney and Obama are battling it out at K-mart stores and online. These percentages are compiled from internet sales and in-store sales at K-mart.

In the most recent sales data available from Joseph Enterprises, Inc. of San Francisco (the company that markets Chia Obama and Chia Romney), the reported sales figures since the start of the first airing of Joseph Enterprises’ TV commercial featuring both Chia Romney and Chia Obama (from September 17, 2012 – September 29, 2012) are as follows:

Chia Obama 69.6%  vs. Chia Romney 29.5%.

Additional sales for items in Joseph Enterprises’ “Freedom of Choice” collection during these same dates were for Chia Gingrich 0.3% and Chia Ron Paul 0.5%.

These results reflect the latest sales figures reported to Joseph Enterprises from K-mart and online retailers Amazon.com, Drugstore.com and www.Americanchia.com according to Joe Pedott, President of Joseph Enterprises.

Will the sales of the Chia versions of Obama and Romney reflect the actual outcome of the election? How will the sales figures vary from week to week? Will people buy one Chia version of the candidates or both? “If people buy both Chia versions of the candidates, they could do all sorts of creative things with them, says Pedott. They could make their own videos featuring Chia Romney and Chia Obama. They could stage their own debates. Who knows what people will do with their Chia versions of the candidates? I guess we’ll find out online,” says Pedott.

The political parties might even use them for fundraising purposes.

People can view the commercial online at www.Americanchia.com. Limited editions of the Chia versions of Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are available at K-mart stores and online at Amazon.com, Drugstore.com and www.Americanchia.com.
