Upon further review, it turns out that the roller skater is not wearing a tutu. Quel dommage!
But anyway, another ballet season is coming in less than a month at our San Francisco Ballet, starting with the bay area version of The Nutcracker and then the entire 2012 season proper in January. Hurray!
This fellow is going to work on his inline skates down hilly, hilly Haight Street. He’s keeping up with the bikes and leaving everybody else - drivers, MUNI, peds - in the dust.
Horrible, clogged, failed Octavia Boulevard, Bane of Travelers All, is vanquished, if just for a moment.

You know all about rollersoccer, right? It’s not listed in the English language Wikipedia but the French one says it’s ”un sport hybride qui consiste à jouer au football sur des rollers.” And it was created by a local - see?
“Ce sport est né dans les années 1990 à San Francisco aux États-Unis, crée par Zack Phillips.”
This Sunday, June 7 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Capp and 24th Street, you’ll be able to see a demonstration of this new sport. It’s all a part of Sunday Streets in the Mission District.
