OMG, See 1970′s SF on YouTube for Free Courtesy of “The Streets Of San Francisco Full Episodes”

Monday, June 30th, 2014

Somebody‘s posting complete episodes of The Streets of San Francisco 1970′s buddy-cop TVdrama on YouTube?!

Check it:

86 complete shows have been posted so far.

Here’s a sample of the first four, 75% of which revolve around the deaths of “girls” in their 20′s. To wit:

“girl found dead in the water”

“would-be Jack the Ripper stalks the city, slashing prostitutes to death”

“feels responsible for the death of a female hitchhike”

Meh.

(Mmmm, is it possible that posting these eps could stimulate DVD sales? IDK.)

Be my guest if you have the time to watch any of them. I’m sure there are old scenes of the Bay Area I’d like to see, but somebody will need to go through and pick out the good parts and string them together afore I’ll watch any part of any TSOSF rerun, sorry.

“Many actors guest-starred on the show; some were relatively unknown at the time and became successful stars in their own feature films or television series. The Streets of San Francisco: SFMTA Rips Off Famous MUNI Critic Greg Dewar and His N Judah Chronicles

Friday, July 1st, 2011

This bus ad doesn’t say The Streets of San Francisco, oh no, it says The Treats of San Francisco.

See? (The fine print in the ad says that MUNI has permission from CBS to run to use the SoSF logo, so everything’s nice and legal.)

Isn’t this ad kind of a rip-off of Greg Dewar’s N Judah Chronicles?

Signs point to yes.

Speaking of whom, here’s MUNI’s Death Spiral from Greg Dewar and Joe Eskenazi. (Boy, the head of MUNI at the time just flipped out, I mean, really flipped out over this bit in the SF Weekly from last year. He hosted a big meeting in response to this one article. It was epic, I’ve been told.)

Anyway, do you know what that “treat” is, the one referenced in the MUNI ad?

It’s the price increase what starts today.

Hurray!

Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Aspires to be a Roller Derby Referee in Haight Ashbury

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Owing to Program 4 at the San Francisco Ballet, I missed my chance to see Steve Wozniak emcee the Bay City Bombers’ season opener last weekend. But this short vid eases the pain. Will this Apple co-founder join in on the fun in the near future?

You Make The Call.

The Woz at Kezar Pavilion on Stanyan last Saturday:

Your next chance to pay $10 to see banked tracked roller derby comes up May 1st, 2010, when Orlando’s finest rollers come to town.

See you there!

Pay $10 to See Steve Wozniak Host Roller Derby in Haight Ashbury, March 6th

Friday, March 5th, 2010

Via SFist comes the news of Steve “The Woz” Wozniak starting up the Roller Derby game at Kezar Pavillion at 775 Stanyan Street just up from Haight this Saturday, March 6th, 2010.

Will he bring his Segway along, or maybe Steve Jobs too? We Can Only Hope. Tickets still on sale.

After this, maybe San Francisco will get it’s own ‘Woz Way” the way they have it down in San Hoser.

Your Bay City Bombers in action on the banked track. Ask yourselves, if it’s not on a banked track is it really Roller Derby?
