Soles4Souls: OMG, 200+ U2 Concert Tickets to be Given Away on June 6 from 3-6 PM at Pier 39! Bring New Shoes

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

I don’t exactly how all this will work, but StubHub will give away mad U2 concert tickets on Monday and you can score a pair yourself if you’re lucky and if you bring a pair of “new or gently used” shoes to donate.

It will look a little something like this out in front of the our Hard Rock Cafe.

(I can’t wait to bring over my nu shooz.)

Anyway, deets below.

See you there on Monday, and then if you’re lucky, on Tuesday, at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum at the U2 360 Tour!

“StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, recently launched its “Take Off Your Boots” campaign to collect shoes for the charity Soles4Souls, and is giving away free tickets to the U2 360° Tour. The campaign is coming to San Francisco on June 6, where at least 100 pairs of tickets to the June 7 U2 360° concert will be given away to those who donate!

The shoe collection takes place on June 6 from 3-6 p.m. at the Pier 39 Hard Rock Café in San Francisco. There is a limit of one pair of U2 tickets per person donating a pair of new or gently used shoes, while ticket supplies last – so be sure and get there early!

Last year, after U2 postponed their tour many fans who purchased tickets through StubHub could not commit to the rescheduled shows. With StubHub’s FanProtect Guarantee policy, these fans were able to return their tickets and receive their money back. Because it is StubHub’s policy not to resell tickets, these returned tickets are now being used to encourage charitable giving through the “Take Off Your Boots” campaign.

Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based charity, collects shoes and distributes them to people in need. Since 2005, it has given more than 13 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes to people in over 125 countries.”
