Once again, it’s the massive TasteTV San Francisco International Chocolate Salon at Festival Pavilion up at Fort Mason this Sunday.

Last weekend’s Fall Luxury Chocolate Salon at Fort Mason was smaller than the one we had in earlier this year, but, nevertheless, a huge success anyway.
You had to wait your turn but there were free samples galore for all attendees.

The whole deal comes from the Taste TV people, who are taking their TASTY Awards show south this year for the second annual:
“Congratulation the Bay Area Nominees for the 2nd Annual TASTY Awards. The TASTY Awards celebrates the year’s best in food, fashion and home lifestyle programs on Television, in Film, and Online. Last year it was in San Francisco at the Kabuki, and the next one in January will be in Hollywood.

Throngs were waiting to get into the Festival Pavilion up at Fort Mason this AM – as promised, it’s the massive TasteTV San Francisco International Chocolate Salon.
Perhaps a bit more expensive and upscale compared with the outdoor Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival. (Speaking of which, the 15th Annual of that popular event is coming up September 11-12, 2010.)
Anyway, there are tons of people at the Salon, but the lines for samples aren’t too long at all.

And KOFY TV 20 is there doing something or other – they’re Everywhere You Want To Be these days. (Perhaps KOFY’s recent affiliation with noted Wikipedian Beth Spotswood is starting to pay off…)

Let’s see here, the TasteTV Network is going to put on the “TASTY Awards Show” at the Sundance Kabuki in Japantown on Thursday, January 14th, 2010. It will be:
“…the most exciting and prestigious event ever to celebrate food and fashion programs on television, in film, and online.”
O.K. then. But why food and fashion together?
“The viewer appetite and response to food and style programs has surged over recent years, making them some of the highest watched video content. The TASTY AWARDS spotlight the year’s best achievements in food and fashion programs on television, in film, and on the web.”
